Decorator Profile
Paula began her career in decorating in 1983 by starting in the fabric field. At JoAnn Fabrics, she assisted clients with their decorating and home sewing projects by using her eye for color and her love of mixing fabrics. As a manager, she was not only responsible for the day to day operations but she created many of the in-store displays.

After the birth of her first child, she took one and a half years off to stay at home. In 1986 she joined Fabricland. Once again she progressed into management, in-store displays and coordinating in-store classes and demonstrations. She also did displays for events such as "Sew Fair".

She "retired" from the fabric business in 1994 to spend time with her children and to volunteer at their school. Continuing to educate herself in the decorating field, she expanded her skills into the rapidly growing area of decorative painting. Her specialty is custom decorative painting and stenciling in both residential and commercial environments.  She has taken classes in decorative painting from Barth's Faux Effects Decorative Finishes Studio in Las Vegas, NV.

Her services also include helping clients establish and develop a color scheme and style plan. She achieves this by developing coordinating window treatments, artwork, home furnishings and painting options to suit each clients wants and needs.

Paula graduated from "The School of Interior Decorating" located in Atlanta, GA as well as the "Academy of Interior Decorating" located in Hillsboro, OR.  Paula is also a Window Fashions Certified Professional.  She is currently at the Specialest level and is working on obtaining her Masters level.

"I know I have successfully served my clients when they feel their home is now a perfect extension of their personality and has become the welcoming haven in which to refresh themselves after a long hard day."
